Alisha Reviews: Colourpop

Colourpop is a makeup brand that offers lipsticks, highlighters, eyeshadows, and more! On this Friday I am going to talk about a couple products from Colourpop that have quickly become my favorites!

Usually I don’t like to wear lipstick. My lips are very dry, and before I started really getting into makeup, literally every lipstick I tried would dry out my lips and crumble to no end. Even now I don’t ever feel enthusiastic about tube lipsticks. A couple weeks ago I tried two different shades of Colourpop’s matte liquid lipsticks. A friend on Facebook recommended that I try ‘Beeper’ and ‘Kapow.’ When I first got them in the mail, I honestly thought they were the same color. Obviously they aren’t, but they are very similar to each other. ‘Beeper’ looks amazing on me, and I was pleasantly surprised.When I was recommended to try 'Beeper,' I was told that it looks good on everyone, and I believe that to be true! The shade is versatile and I feel like it would work on multiple skin tones. ‘Kapow’ looked nice on me as well; I just didn’t fall in love with it like I did ‘Beeper.’ They are matte so they are supposed to dry on your lips, but they didn’t dehydrate my lips as much as every other tube lipstick I tried. The lipsticks are beautifully pigmented and they stay on wonderfully!

Recently I have started to really get into highlighters (that glow though). Colourpop makes single highlighters that come in a little pot, and I love them! The formula is amazing; they are so unbelievably creamy and pigmented. Seriously you guys need to get you some of these; they are a definite game changer. I own ‘Lunch Money,’ and ‘Wisp.’ The shades blend beautifully into the skin, and they give you a radiant glow. These can be subtle if you prefer or can be built up with no difficulty at all.

Colourpop also has single eyeshadows. Much like the highlighters, the single eyeshadows come in a little pot. They are just as creamy and pigmented as their other products! I own the shade ‘Central Perk’ (Friends, anyone?). Central Perk is a matte shadow, but they offer a lot of pearlized and metallic shadows as well!

DRAMA

Did you know if all you can do is talk crap about people, you have a heart full of hate?

Did you know that if you hate someone, it's because your unhappy with yourself?

Did you know if you're a "Christian", it's a sin to hate?

Did you know that you would be a lot happier in life if you stopped? 

When I was younger, I was the worst about talking about people.  I didn't like anyone.  I had a mind full of jealousy, hatred, and insecurities.  I 'hated' so many people.  And I always thought that I was right.  Luckily, maturity made me grow out of all of that.  I assumed everyone else did as well.  That was until I met people much older than me, that still fed off of drama.  I will never understand hating someone that I didn't know.  The only problems I had with people are from people that have done something to me.  Did you know that when someone does something to you and you forgive them, you have a full heart?  It makes you feel so at peace, instead of worrying about what they did all the time.  I am a better person for letting go of all of it.  I literally feel so happy💜 

Every now and then, I'll still hear about someone who said something bad about me.  I literally turn the other cheek, and forgive them anyways.  

No, I don't get along with everyone but I can be in a room with someone I know hates me and have nothing but love.  There are billions of people in this world- that will never all get along.  You don't have to be around the people who you feel impact your life negatively.  But you don't have to spite them either.

I'm not perfect but please take this advice: Drop the hate and the drama and live a full life. 💜
